Individual note:    Keith was a small child when the family lived in Stratford, SD. It was there he had his tonsils out, along with his brother George. He was called "Angel child" by Violet and George W.
because Keith always got the two of them in trouble. Ida never blamed him for anything. She let him get away with murder. In fact, Keith fell into Cass Lake and had to be pulled out. He always had a big wad of candy in his mouth. Keith is about the same height as his father.
Keith joined the Air Force and studied to be a pilot. He was stationed on a base in Enod, Oklahoma and Kansas. During his studies, he was diagnosed as having a heart murmur. This stopped from being a pilot and became a mechanic instead. He eventually went to Taipei during war.
Keith was baptised at Calvery Episcopal Church, in Sioux City IA. just before entering the Air Force. George M. visited Keith while stationed in Kansas.
Keith married Peggy Jester in Coffeville, OK. in 1942.
Their first child, Karen, was born about 1943-1944. Karen stayed with George and Ida, while Keith was at war. George taught Karen how to walk. Keith left the service on 11/21/1945. Their second child, Sherry, was born in 1946 in San Francisco, CA.
Keith divorced Peggy and married Donna Lousebrink at St.Paul EV. Lutheran Church. She had a still-born baby, Terry, due to Donna's diabetes. The baby is interred in Babyland at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City, IA.
Keith divorced Donna and married Evonne Smith at the Episcopal Church, Worthington, MN. on 8/31/1962.
Medical: Color Blind and had heart disease.

Individual note:   Immigrated to US. 1880 to South Dakota
Occupation: Butcher. Liked to play the fiddle.
Built the house and store in Bristol, SD.
Later May Rankin and her family lived there. Anna would here and at Babe's out West quite a bit. She would also stay with the other girls two.
William rustled around cattle and hogs and shipped carloads of them to the stockyards at St Paul and Minneapolis, MN.

Individual note:   Born in Saskatchewan, Canada April 1863
Immigrated to US. in 1879 from Canada to South Dakota Anna told the story that when they were immigrating to South Dakota, they would turn the wagon over at night for protection from Indians and snakes. William and Anna filed a preemption claim on the Janke farm, 1/2 mile East of Bristol. The house was situated on top of a hill. Seven children were born, 5 lived, two died in infancy and are buried on a mound on the farm.
Anna dressed very well, loved to catch fish
Lived with George & Ida quite a bit
Oldest Pioneer in South Dakota
Lived to 95 years old
Never really had a home of her own after William died. Mainly stayed with her daughters and with Janette and Babe Moxness.

Youngest brother of Ida
Played baseball in Bristol
Also played basketball in 1916-1917 while in Bristol High School. He and Harry Knott shaved their heads in order to streamline themselves for the team.
George ran 2 1/2 miles out to the Sharp farm in Bristol to see Violet when she was born.

Married Arnie Moxness May 14, 1917 when George & Ida were in Montana.
Spent their honeymoon in Hysham, Montana.
Arnie and Babe always together with George and Ida.
Moved to Tacoma, Washington in 1938.
George and Ida visited there with Violet.
She was cremated and the remains dropped in forest area near St. Helens
