Individual note:   Joseph shared a lot on the Kennebecasis River with his brother Robert. He then moved to Jerusalem, Queen's County, NB where he married Hannah (H. Sharpe)

Individual note:   Was a blacksmith specializing in the making of nails.
He purchased and moved to farm property in Hunterdon County, NJ.
In 1776, he joined thr British Army in Woodbridge, NJ (Was a Loyalist)
His property in Hunterdon County was confiscated and he moved behind the British lines on Staten Island, NY where his family joined him.
He served as a guide under General Cornwallis. After the war he settled in Kingston peninsula, Kings County, NB Canada in 1783 with all his family except his oldest son William, who remained on Staten Island. Later they moved to Millstream, Kings County, NB. Many of the children settled in the Lower Millstream area, King's County, NB where they farmed and were also known as operators of water mills, which were the source of power for grist and sawmills.
